Short transit time does not affect the quality in stonefruits? FALSE

By Liventus inCommodities

Most of the stone fruits that go to destinations with short transits, such as the United States, are shipped in reefer containers without any type of technology (meaning regular air), where physiological disorders tend to develop easily; since they mature in the hands of the final consumer (at a room temperature), because they were never exposed to concentrations of gases that manage to avoid this type of problem.

At Liventus we have validated through different studies the controlled atmosphere has a positive effect controlling the different physical disorders that can arise. A high concentration of CO2 directly affects the metabolism of the fruit, controlling the activity of the enzymes involved in the development of this type of problem.
